Hardwax Oil for Walnut 250ml

A slightly darker oil mixed for walnut, because a clear oil on walnut lifts the colour unevenly across the board.

Solid timber shelving is not high maintenance but it is not zero maintenance either. An oiled shelf that is never re oiled will dry out, take up water unevenly and eventually mark where a glass has stood. The remedy is ten minutes with a cloth once a year, and it is genuinely that simple. Painted and lacquered boards need nothing except a damp cloth and the occasional touch up on the front edge.

Fitting

Nothing to fit. Apply a thin coat with a lint free cloth along the grain, leave it twenty minutes, then wipe off everything that has not soaked in. The commonest mistake is putting it on too thick, which leaves a sticky surface that takes a week to harden.
