Who we share it with
Only those who need it to get your order to you or to run the business: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, parcel and pallet carriers, our email and analytics providers, and our accountants. They act on our instructions under contract. We also disclose data where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
- Order and transaction records: 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Customer service correspondence: 3 years from the last contact.
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, and up to 2 years of inactivity after that.
- Analytics data: up to 26 months.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@homartuk.com. We will respond within one month. You will not be charged.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office — ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113 — though we would like the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site and basket to work; these do not require consent. We use analytics and marketing cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the checkout may then stop working.
Marketing
We will only send marketing emails if you have opted in, or if you have bought from us and we are offering similar products. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
