A single 1200mm shelf board in powder coated steel, machined and finished, for adding a shelf to a system you already have. Sized for a two bay run.

Boards are sold separately because a system usually grows one shelf at a time. Everything is machined from the same stock as the kits, finished on all six faces including the underside, and the front edge is eased with a 2mm radius so it does not mark a sleeve. Timber boards are cut from kiln dried stock at 8 to 10 per cent moisture content, which is what a heated house holds, so a board will not cup on you in the first winter.

What you get

  • One shelf board in powder coated steel, 1200mm by 250mm by 30mm
  • Two shelf clips
  • A touch up pen in the matching colour

Fitting

Two people, a drill, a spirit level and about two hours for a single wall. Mark the top line first and hang every upright from it rather than measuring up from the floor, because floors are never level and a shelf that follows the floor looks wrong in a way nobody can put their finger on. Fix the first upright, level it, then use a shelf as a straight edge to set the next one. The fixing pack, a paper template and a printed sequence are in the box.
